Panning for gold has become one of the most sought- after activities of the decade. A visit to our historic Jimtown 1849 Gold Mining Camp promises to be the most exciting and educational adventure your clients have had in a long time.

A day the camp can be anywhere from two to five hours long and may include lunch, if you choose.

Seniors: Your senior clients will enjoy the living history aspects of our camp, as well as the peaceful, beautiful setting. We can tailor he tour so that activities are geared toward their interests and abilities. They can sit and listen to Mark Twain spin tales of the Gold Rush Era, pan for gold in a raised panning trough, or just walk around the camp enjoying the 49er atmosphere.

Families: Those who are more adventurous may choose to pan in the stream next to the old prospectors. Parents and children sit side by side enjoying the thrill of finding that sparkle of "color." Mom and Dad will appreciate the special attention our guides give to children, making them an important part of the camp atmosphere. Learning about the Gold Rush becomes an adventure instead of a lecture. We have a corral with live animals too,. Kids love it!

Individuals: The hobbyist can sign up for our more extensive gold prospecting courses. These classes are from one to three days, and teach the latest scientific techniques. A course manual is included.

Whatever your clients' needs, we can meet them. Our camp offers more than any other gold prospecting company. We have worked with the San Francisco 49ers, Coca-Cola Corporation, Pacific Bell and the State of California, so you can be assured our programs and services are top of the line.

We are about 2 1/2 hours north of Yosemite, three hours east of San Francisco and three hours west of Lake Tahoe. Bus parking is available, adjacent to the camp, and the camp is wheelchair accessible.
